SHOW LOCATION The Wroughton Classic will be held at the Science Museum Wroughton Entrance to the Wroughton Classic Car & Bike Show 2007 and the museum will be FREE but there will be a parking fee for ALL vehicles not displaying an official show pass, Click Here for more information For a general site map CLICK HERE (please note this is a guide only and may be subject to change) Click Here to Download Map (219KB) or The Science Museum Wroughton is situated off the A4361 Devizes road , south of Swindon and the M4. From the motorway, exit at J15 or 16 and follow signs for Wroughton and look out for the brown Science Museum signs. Closest train station: Swindon If you have difficulties using public transport, try Dial A Ride - Tel: 01793 617828 who will also be arranging trips to the show over the weekend. Please note that mobility scooters and wheelchairs may be available for hire on the day from Care Plus Mobility - please pre-book at Tel: 01793 615327. THE SCIENCE MUSEUM WROUGHTON As an ex-airfield, the site boasts almost endless stretches of hardstanding provided by the old runways and large, covered, exhibition areas in the form of old hangars.It is indeed an excellent, spacious, venue with good facilities, and plenty of parking space. The science museum itself is the largest object storage facility for the National Collections of the Science Museum. The whole spectrum of collections of scientific and technological interest are stored and conserved there ranging from the Lockheed Constellation airliner to early computers, from bicycles to the Woods Press and MRI scanners to hovercrafts. Currently approximately 18,000 objects are stored at this site. The museum's D4 hanger will be open to visitors throughout the show.
