The Science Museum Wroughton is situated off the A4361 Devizes road , south of Swindon and the M4. From the motorway, exit at J15 or 16 and follow signs for Wroughton and look out for the brown Science Museum signs.

Closest train station: Swindon

A taxi from the station costs around £7.50-£8.00

By Bus: Number 49 bus from Swindon bus station.

THE SCIENCE MUSEUM WROUGHTON

As an ex-airfield, the site boasts almost endless stretches of hardstanding provided by the old runways and large, covered, exhibition areas in the form of old hangars.It is indeed an excellent, spacious, venue with good facilities, and plenty of parking space.

The science museum itself is the largest object storage facility for the National Collections of the Science Museum. The whole spectrum of collections of scientific and technological interest are stored and conserved there ranging from the Lockheed Constellation airliner to early computers, from bicycles to the Woods Press and MRI scanners to hovercrafts. Currently approximately 18,000 objects are stored at this site. The museum's D4 hanger will be open to visitors throughout the show.
