The 2008 PROGRAMME OF EVENTS & ATTRACTIONS details will be added soon, meanwhile............ check out what went on last year............... 2007 events and attractions:
Channel 4’s legendary engineering game show came to the Wroughton Classic 2007 as they opened their rusty garage doors and threw down the oily gauntlet to the great bodging British public as they staged two Scrapheap Challenge Roadshows.
The gauntlet was again thrown down, a celebrity team of famous faces from past shows was recruited, and the great British public were challenged yet again - and it all took place, and was filmed, at the Wroughton Classic 2007! Watch out for it in 2008 when it will be shown on Channel 4 for all to see!
Our own unique pedal car races proved to be extremely popular with children and adults alike! Throughout the day, teams pedalled furiously to improve their technique and skills and finally battled it out in series of 'pedal power' races in our own unique adult sized pedal cars. 2007 Silent Grand Prix Champions were.... TEENAGERS REBORN
They were awarded their fantastic cup which was kindly donated by the Science Museum Wroughton's INSPIRE project Brought to us by 'KRAZEE KARTS' the races are organised with 'FUN' in mind and a great time was had by all.
Sponsorship money collected from the Grand Prix was donated to the British Heart Foundation. OUR THANKS TO OUR FANTASTIC TEAMS:
This amazing display of slot cars (similar to that family favourite 'Scalextric' but with slightly smaller, faster cars!) was brought to the show by local club enthusiasts who meet regularly to test their skills and discuss this popular past-time. The display was laid out inside the main exhibition hanger and proved to be a firm favourite with the kids (and bigger kids). The cars drew a crowd throughout the weekend and will be back again for 2008! Results from the 2007 races can be seen here: Saturday, Sunday For downloadable booking forms or more information click appropriate link: AUTOJUMBLE, CRAFT STANDS, EXHIBITORS, TRADERS, VEHICLE SALES |
